Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this.

Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them.

Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars.

Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters.

Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered. I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free.

Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section. In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless.

The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs. They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work.

I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work.

Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying! Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any.

Home-based businesses now comprise almost half of the estimated 26 million small businesses nationwide, according to an analysis of Census Bureau data. New technologies have made it possible for a solo entrepreneur to begin a business that once would have required the resources of a much larger organization. Thanks to new tools, the range of home-based industries stretches far beyond consulting or even eBay businesses.

Many solo entrepreneurs are finding success with service businesses, particularly those that cater to specific demographics, such as overworked professionals, children, or the elderly. A business caring for the elderly or teaching enrichment programs for children can easily be operated out of the home, as can businesses that provide support for busy people, such as a personal chef or weight-loss counseling business.

"Service businesses can be more fluid and flexible than retail businesses because they do not have the challenge of sustaining inventory," says Terri Lonier, author of Working Solo and founder of workingsolo.com. "Because they are not tied down with manufacturing or inventory costs, service businesses can be more responsive to the market."

Within the service industry, there is a growing need for businesses that provide specialized support services to other small-business owners. A small business may not be able to afford dedicated accounting, tech-support, or human-resources staff, so many solo entrepreneurs can fill a niche by providing outsourced services.

The ability to effectively provide an outsourced task to a larger company is possible thanks largely to the connectivity the Internet has provided. The Web also lets many other kinds of entrepreneurs reach people who need their niche products or services.
"I don't think we would see as many micro-businesses as we see today if it weren't for the Internet," says Gene Fairbrother, lead small-business consultant for the National Association for the Self Employed.

Low-cost, Internet-based tools are currently driving the home-based business boom, says Bruce Judson, senior faculty fellow at Yale School of Management and author of Go It Alone: The Secret to Building a Successful Business on Your Own. "It is literally now possible for an independent businessperson to rent, for $20 a month, software capabilities that were only available to Fortune 500 companies a few years ago."

Solo entrepreneurs can now create databases, manage e-mail lists, or do sequenced mailings at reasonable costs. Communication technologies, like VoIP phone service and online conferencing make it easy to create a home-based office with full-service functionality.

Such technologies are also making it possible for entrepreneurs to do business anywhere -- even remote, rural locations. In one example, a recent study found that eight of the top 10 most active eBay communities for buying and selling were small towns, not major cities.
In addition to providing tools that help entrepreneurs run their companies, this technology has also opened the door to new business models.

"What the Internet does is naturally disaggregates," Judson says. Business owners can package and sell their special skills a la carte, while consumers can do business with several small vendors, and purchase only the services they need.

"The Internet is absolutely one of the hottest markets for people to intelligently capitalize on," Fairbrother says.
With one major caveat, however. "Just because you build a website doesn't mean you're going to be successful," Fairbrother cautions. "It takes traditional business sense to succeed on the Internet."

"Nowadays, with websites costing $3 a month, you see a lot more scams," Lonier adds. "You see a lot of people who want to sell you information about how to have a successful business. You need to look at the track record of the person selling their advice or their business plan and determine whether it is really a broad enough based solution."

Lonier counsels would-be entrepreneurs to select the industry that is right for them, before purchasing or beginning any venture.
"The best business ideas spring from an individual's experience as well as their passion," Lonier says. "While [a new entrepreneur] should be aware of trends in the marketplace, it can be very dangerous to decide to start a solo business just because a certain industry is hot."

That said, Lonier notes that many of the industries that are "hot" right now are those that specialize. "The businesses that prosper are those that are not out to be number one in the world, but that identify and cater to a narrow niche which they can serve well and grow with over time."

"The key is to be super-focused on one thing," Judson adds. "Do what you do best, and let someone else deal with the rest."
Judson also advises people embarking upon a home-based business venture to not rush the start-up process. "If there is any way to do so, get any piece of [the business] up and running before you leave your day job. If you start your business on the side, you can work on it until you know, as much as is possible, whether your idea is going to work."

"What I hear from people who have been successful is 'I quit my day job when I didn't have time to sleep,'" Judson says. "But many people would trade six months of less sleep for a chance at a new life."

Hi, today we gone focus on something really important and exactly what prospects consider most important in deciding on a company. "Big Al" Schreider, has traveled the world promoting his M-L-M business and discovered what I'm about to share with you.

There are 10 components (items) on decinding to join a business. Here's the list: * Company literature shown * Marketing plan & potential earnings * Training provided * Who gave the presentation * Product line * Company management experience * Up-line support * Company image * Sales kit provided * Being first in your area Now here there aren't on the right order what I would like to do is to rate these items yourself, from 1 to 10, most important to least important. strongly encourage you to REALLY do this exercise.

It will take maybe 5 minutes and you will be very surprised of the results. I hope you took your time and you just din't jump on the solutions here: these are the correct answers:

1. Who gave the presentation? Is that a surprise? Its about YOU. People join people, they dont join companies.

2. Up-line support. Back to YOU again, the 2nd most important factor, again by a landslide.

3. Training Provided. Look at this! They aren't even wondering about money yet, we havent talked about a company, were still talking about YOU.

4. Marketing Plan and Potential Earnings. So were almost halfway through the list. And NOW the prospect is finally wondering, "Can I make some money?"

5. Product Line. We finally get to products.

6. Being first in the area. Have you noticed we havent even talked about the company yet, but were being first in the area?

7. Company Literature shown. There are a LOT of networkers who focus on the literature. But this isn't a reading business. It's a relationship business.

8. Company Image. Maybe you show a video featuring a 20,000 square foot office & warehouse, on three acres in an exclusive suburb, all the bells & whistles. Big whoop. That's #8 on their list, barely on the radar. Why bother?

9. Is The Sales Kit provided? Now the prospect wants to know that you do have a good video, you do have good literature, youve got tools and services they can use to build their business.

10. Company Management experience. LEAST important to the prospect is that the president is a family man, and hes got four or five families to prove it. So this whole process is way simpler than most people think:

1. Make sure they like you.
2. Make sure they believe they can do it. f you don't do those two, nothing else matter's. Think about all this for a second.

Now what we have people doing on this business when they first start or even when they are in the business for long time exaclty the opposite; they are talking to a prospect.

They start off with the company management experience, which is the least important thing to them. You see what's happening and then you wonder why most of the people stuggles to be successful on network marketing. Here is somenthing to focus on about Network Marketing or MLM It's NOT a sales business.

Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month.

It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them. Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered.

I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free. Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section. In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless. The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs.

They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work. I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying! Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any.

I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below, I recommend you join quickly. Most of the owners tell me they are getting an overwhelming number of sales and plan on raising prices in the near future, so order while prices are still low! To Your Online Success,

So You've Heard about Blogs but Don't Really Know What Blogs are.

Simply put, the Definition of a Blog or a Weblog is a website that provides commentary on a specific subject or variety of topics. The term "blog" is a contraction of "Web log." "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

According to Wikipedia, one of the Internet's best sources of information, a Weblog is blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media.

When considering the definition of a Blog, you must also think about the pervasiveness of blogs on the Internet. There have been estimates indicating that as many as 30 million Americans (about 10% actively contribute to a weblog. These numbers are staggering when you consider that blogging has only become mainstream in the last couple of years.

Now that you have the definition of a blog and want to start one, the best thing to do is start by using a free service like Blogger. I use Blogger to manage my Marketing Blog and have to tell you that its one of the most simple things I've ever done online. Once your blog is set up, in about 3 easy steps, you can make a post anytime you have access to a computer - or even email.

Once you've set up your blog, you'll want to submit your blog to the major directories like Yahoo! and Tecnorati. Doing so will get others to see your blog and improve your search engine results. Additionally, be sure to provide your blog updates via RSS feed. This means that each time you make a post, subscribers will receive the post via email. Most blog providers give you the opportunity to include this functionality during blog setup.

The other thing you'll want to thing about before you begin blogging is how you'll make your blog unique. Defining the purpose of your blog is a great place to start. Will you use a blog as an online diary? To provide information on a topic you're knowledgeable about? As a place to share ideas with friends and family? Regardless of your definition of a blog, be sure to make it your own. Happy blogging!

The discipline of marketing can often be complex and confusing. As a marketing veteran, I have seen countless marketing professionals get hung up on various aspects of marketing that have little impact on actual marketing results.

Based on my experience, there are four critical elements to an effective marketing campaign. Whether you're looking to improve your search engine marketing results, internet marketing, or marketing in general, be sure to follow these simple guidelines which I refer to as the A.T.O.M approach.

A.T.O.M - Audience, Timing, Offer, Message

1. Know Your Audience
No one can effectively market, communicate, or sell without knowing their audience or what motivates them to buy. Is your potential customer male or

female? Young or old? A first time buyer or frequent purchaser? Are they the final decision maker? Do they have preferences for a particular product, service, or delivery method? The more you know about your audience, the more targeted and relevant your marketing can be.

2. Timing is Everything
Even with the most convincing marketing campaign, prospects will have no interest in your product or service if you aren't communicating to them at the right time. Be sure your marketing message is in front of prospects when they're ready to buy. This could be at a particular time of year or perhaps prior to a life event.

3. Finding the Right Offer
In direct marketing, experts say that results are 40% dependant on your list, 40% on the offer, and 20% on your creative. The same is true for internet

marketing, search engine marketing, and the like. Test your offers and find the one that out performs all the others. This offer should continually be tested and refined to improve your results.

4. Its all about the Messaging
If you know your audience well enough, you should be able to craft a message that addresses their needs and differentiates your product or service

from the competition. Additionally, be sure to stress benefits over features. This will give your audience a reason to read, try, and buy.

Ninety-Four Percent of Business Buyers Go Online

Have you been Googled lately? You'd better hope so.

Here's powerful news for busy marketers wanting to get more bang for the buck and simplify their busy lives. New research finds that 94% of business buyers go online at some stage of the buying cycle to do research.

And the amazing thing is that most are going to the same place to get what they need to make a decision. Of the 64% who start their research by using a search engine, 83% go to Google.

That's the latest from a just released survey of 1,500 business buyers by Enquiro. To make sure they were right, researchers also tracked eyeflow— asking prospects what they looked at first — and interviewed buyers about how they'd searched for products in the past. These results may change your marketing forever:

1. Optimize with Google in mind
If you're pushed for time and money, why waste them on anything other than optimizing your site so it gets a top ranking on Google? You don't even need to spend money on AdWords.

Not only did 82.9% of buyers turn to Google first to research a purchase, most preferred to click on the regular (organic) search listings.

Nearly 63% said they looked at the main regular listings first (i.e., the free results on the left) compared with only 14.2% who looked at the top paid listings (the pay-per-click listings on the right of the page).

Quick tip: To get a better ranking, include a dictionary of industry terms on your site.

These results also raise questions for consumer marketers: Are consumers using a variety of search engines to find you? A survey or a question on your site asking how prospects found you could help target resources more effectively.

2. Put URL in lights, big lights
You'll also want to continue doing anything you can to make your URL as intuitive, memorable and ubiquitous as possible. That's because the first place nearly 19% of buyers go to research products — before they even go to a search engine — is the Web site of known vendors of the product or service.

So make your URL big, bold and beautiful, instead of the last thing you add in small type to an offline print ad or direct mail piece. And survey prospects to find out whether your site provides enough info to stop them from clicking to a competitor's site.

Another interesting finding: 23.5% of buyers researching expensive purchases, i.e., those over $10,000 start their search at an industry portal. So check how your listing compares with rivals'.

3. Buyers search earlier in cycle
You may also want to check when in the buying cycle prospects are starting research because they may be looking earlier than you expected. Nearly 47% of prospects agreed with the statement that when they used a search engine they were "very early in the research," with "little knowledge of product or service."

Uh oh! That means you can't presume any prior knowledge. And 30% said they were searching a bit later, but "wanted comparisons." The rest wanted reviews and articles.

Many searchers were researching for internal committees. Some companies cater to this by creating content to address the concerns of everyone involved in the purchase.

Conclusion: With so many business buyers going online, be sure to optimize your site with Google and other search engines in mind. Also, be sure to make your URL known among prospects and customers. Finally, remember that buyers search early in the cycle and you may need to provide a greater level of specific information in order to get them acquainted with your product, service, and/or brand.

Search Engine Optimization. In a nutshell you should Look for the keywords with the lowest Supply and highest demand before creating pages.

Pick Your Target Keywords
How do you think people will search for your web page? The words you imagine them typing into the search box are your target keywords.

For example, say you have a page devoted to marine engines. Anytime someone types "marine engines," you want your page to be in the top ten results. Then those are your target keywords for that page.

Each page in your web site will have different target keywords that reflect the page's content. For example, say you have another page about the history of engines. Then "engine history" might be your keywords for that page.

Your target keywords should always be at least two or more words long. Usually, too many sites will be relevant for a single word, such as "engines." This "competition" means your odds of success are lower. Don't waste your time fighting the odds. Pick phrases of two or more words, and you'll have a better shot at success.

Position Your Keywords
Make sure your target keywords appear in the crucial locations on your web pages. The page's HTML title tag is most important. Failure to put target keywords in the title tag is the main reason why perfectly relevant web pages may be poorly ranked. More about the title tag can be found on the How HTML Meta Tags Work page.

Search engines also like pages where keywords appear "high" on the page, as described more fully on the Search Engine Ranking page. To accommodate them, use your target keywords for your page headline, if possible. Have them also appear in the first paragraphs of your web page.

Have Relevant Content
Changing your page titles is not necessarily going to help your page do well for your target keywords if the page has nothing to do with the topic. Your keywords need to be reflected in the page's content.

In particular, that means you need HTML text on your page. Sometimes sites present large sections of copy via graphics. It looks pretty, but search engines can't read those graphics. That means they miss out on text that might make your site more relevant. Some of the search engines will index ALT text and comment information. But to be safe, use HTML text whenever possible. Some of your human visitors will appreciate it, also.

Be sure that your HTML text is "visible." Some designers try to spam search engines by repeating keywords in a tiny font or in the same color at the background color to make the text invisible to browsers. Search engines are catching on to these and other tricks. Expect that if the text is not visible in a browser, then it may not be indexed by a search engine.

Avoid Search Engine Stumbling Blocks
Some search engines see the web the way someone using a very old browser might. They may not read image maps. They may not read frames. You need to anticipate these problems, or a search engine may not index any or all your web pages.

Have HTML links
Often, designers create only image map links from the home page to inside pages. A search engine that can't follow these links won't be able to get "inside" the site. Unfortunately, the most descriptive, relevant pages are often inside pages rather than the home page.

Solve this problem by adding some HTML hyperlinks to the home page that lead to major inside pages or sections of your web site. This is something that will help some of your human visitors, also. Put them down at the bottom of the page. The search engine will find them and follow them.

Also consider making a site map page with text links to everything in your web site. You can submit this page, which will help the search engines locate pages within your web site.

Finally, be sure you do a good job of linking internally between your pages. If you naturally point to different pages from within your site, you increase the odds that search engines will follow links and find more of your web site.

Frames can kill
Some of the major search engines cannot follow frame links. Make sure there is an alternative method for them to enter and index your site, either through meta tags or smart design.

Build Links
Every major search engine uses link analysis as part of their ranking algorithms. This is done because its very difficult for webmasters to "fake" good links, in the way they might try to spam search engines by manipulating the words on their web pages. As a result, link analysis gives search engines a useful means of determining which pages are good for particular topics.

Just Say No To Search Engine Spamming
For one thing, spamming doesn't always work with search engines. It can also backfire. Search engines may detect your spamming attempt and penalize or ban your page from their listings.

Also, search engine spamming attempts usually center around being top ranked for extremely popular keywords. You can try and fight that battle against other sites, but then be prepared to spend a lot of time each week, if not each day, defending your ranking. That effort usually would be better spent on networking and alternative forms of publicity.

If those practical reasons aren't enough, how about some ethical ones? The content of most web pages ought to be enough for search engines to determine relevancy without webmasters having to resort to repeating keywords for no reason other than to try and "beat" other web pages. The stakes will simply keep rising, and users will also begin to hate sites that undertake these measures.

Consider search engine spamming against spam mail. No one likes spam mail, and sites that use spam mail services often face a backlash from those on the receiving end. Sites that spam search engines degrade the value of search engine listings. As the problem grows, these sites may face the same backlash that spam mail generates.

Submit Your Key Pages
Most search engines will index the other pages from your web site by following links from a page you submit to them. But sometimes they miss, so it's good to submit the top two or three pages that best summarize your web site.

Don't trust the submission process to automated programs and services. Some of them are excellent, but the major search engines are too important. There aren't that many, so submit manually, so that you can see if there are any problems reported.

Also, don't bother submitting more than the top two or three pages. It doesn't speed up the process. Submitting alternative pages is only insurance. In case the search engine has trouble reaching one of the pages, you've covered yourself by giving it another page from which to begin its crawl of your site.

Be patient. It can take up to a month to two months for your "non-submitted" pages to appear in a search engine, and some search engines may not list every page from your site.

Verify And Maintain Your Listing
Check on your pages and ensure they get listed, in the ways described on the Check URL page. Once your pages are listed in a search engine, monitor your listing every week or two to ensure that your search engine optimization strategy is working. Strange things happen. Pages disappear from catalogs. Links go screwy. Watch for trouble, and resubmit if you spot anything in error.

Email Marketing- Developing an Effective Program

If someone tells you that email marketing is dead, don’t believe them. Email is still one of the most productive marketing tools you can use to sell your products and services. Email in extremely valuable for developing a one-on-one relationships with existing customers, delivering valuable content, and up-selling your services.

Those who don’t believe in the efficacy of email are not using the email medium effectively. Chances are these are the same individuals who send out mass emails without segmentation or an understanding of the purchase decision process.

Here are a number of key factors to keep in mind when engaging in email marketing.

1. Build your own email list. Emails that receive the highest open and click-through rates are house-lists. Simply stated, a house list is a database of email addresses that you’ve collected from individuals exchanging information with you on your website.

The easiest and most efficient way to build your house list is to offer an email sign-up (for a newsletter, promotion, or access to valuable information) on every page of your website. The more individuals who opt-in, the greater your database and chance for building profitable customer relationships.

2. Be relevant. This may seem obvious, but if you’re sending the same email to everyone on you email list, you may have fallen into this trap. Relevancy is more than delivering a message that recipients find valuable, it’s also timing your message according to a recent action, event, or behavior.

For example, if someone has recently singed up for a newsletter, engage them immediately. Even if you next newsletter doesn’t come out for another month, provide them with the existing month’s newsletter or access to your newsletter archive. If someone is taking the time to raise their hand and opt-in for your information, which is clearly relevant to their wants, don’t make them wait.

3. Provide something of value. If you’re not providing something of value, you’ll quickly find your database of email subscribers dwindling. Users will only open your email if you provide valuable information, tools, resources, or content that they find useful. When developing your email program, be sure to think it through and solicit feedback from your audience to continually enhance value.

4. Don’t ignore CAN-SPAM. Be sure to post your privacy policy. If you don’t have one, use a sample click here and customize it with your site’s information. Additionally, be sure to list your company’s address at the bottom of your emails and provide a way for users to opt-out. When a recipient chooses to opt-out, make sure you remove their name within 10 days of the request.

5. Develop an opt-out page. It still amazes me that many marketers are still using a generic opt-out. Smart marketers are using an opt-out page with between 8 and 12 opt out options. For example, is the user opting out of “important updates regarding their account”? Or maybe just the monthly newsletter? The key is to offer options so that users get the information that’s important to them and you retain the right to contact them.

6. Effective email takes focus. In the past decade, I’ve seen my share of effective email as well as email that costs more to deliver than return. The most effective email comes in the form of a well thought through campaign, utilization of email best practices (like having an accurate from line, subject line, designing for the preview pane, having a link for those who can’t read your html, CAN-SPAM compliance, and so on), and technology to deliver emails in a disciplined and organized fashion.

If you are sending emails whenever you feel like it or without a specific purpose, then you’re not getting the most out of your email program. You should think of email as a medium that requires daily management. Messages should be relevant, consistent, and provide value to the recipient.

Delivering effective email campaigns can be learned. The one thing to keep in mind is that if you want to get results from your email, than work through the consumers purchase decision process (by product, by segment). If your email program can move individuals through this process in an effective way, email will be more than electronic messaging – it will become a revenue driver!

If you already have a home based business, there are some specific processes and activities that you use every day, and every month of the year. These processes and activities insure that your business runs smoothly. Does anyone else know how to run your business in case something happens to you. I can hear the moans and groans of home business owners all across the country. The business plan is just a road map. You do not have to hire a grant writer or ghost writer to put together the plans for your business.

In fact, you are the only one who can put your dreams and vision on paper. For those who have never put a business plan together it is not rocket science. There is some basic information that is required. The writing does not have to be formal or for that matter written correctly.

The emphasis here is to create a set of action items that when completed yield a profit.

An important element in a business plan is the financials. When you complete this section, you will have a firm grasp on the total budget for the business. You may discover that you are spending more money than you are bringing in. Or, you may discover that you are breaking even or making a profit.

Your business is not real until you have at least an overview of the business on paper. If you use your business as a tax write- off, the best way to prove to the IRS that you have a business is a business plan and your business checking account.

If you are struggling trying to complete a business plan, you may want to consult with friends or family to discuss some of the business basics. When you explain your vision to a third party, the third party may be able to articulate your dream and get your plan in writing.

Ninety percent of home based business owners do not have a definite plan for building their business empire. The smart thing to do is to define the business by creating a simple plan of action. After following the business plan, you are not progressing, then find an expert who can help you put the other pieces of your plan together. If you can articulate your dream, you can achieve your dream.

2. How do you spend your Friday nights?

3. Who are your five closest friends?

4. When is the last time you spent time with them? What did you do?

5. When is the last time you made a new friend?

6. Where did you meet him/her?

7. What is the name of the last class you took? When was that? Was it business or pleasure?

8. What is the last new thing you learned?

9. When is the last time you "played?" What did you do?

10. What organizations or clubs do you belong to? Why did you join?

If you had a hard time answering any of these questions, or if you simply can't recall the last time you did some of these things, maybe it's time to give yourself a well-deserved break.

One thing I learned early on, actually I had it drilled into my head by my coach, was if I couldn't take a few hours out of the week to enjoy some "me" time, it meant I was doing things seriously wrong.

Building your home-based business shouldn't be a struggle. With a sound plan, discipline, good time management, organization and focused action, you can build a business without burning yourself out or giving up life's simple pleasures.

Remember these words, "Force negates growth." Print them out and post them at your workstation to remind yourself that as soon as you push for something, it moves away from you. If you chase anything, it will run in the other direction and this goes for your dreams as well.

Be focused and consistent in your business building efforts and be kind to yourself. If you have identified an ignored need after going through the above quiz, make a commitment to do something about it right now, today.

Your business will reward you and you'll be happy that you did.

Are you guilty of not putting all of your knowledge, skills and abilities to the best use possible? Even more important, are you putting them to any use at all?

This is the equivalent to being provided a map to the ocean of success, having all of the necessary equipment lain by your feet, then remaining on shore watching the waves crashing in, making no effort to get your feet wet or sand between your toes.

In a similar vein, are there books on your shelves filled with information and resources that if translated to action would make a world of difference in your life and your business?

How many books have you read that left you thinking, "This is remarkable. I can do this"?

You put the book on your desk with the good intention of starting a new game plan the next day.

The next day comes and goes and the book sits untouched. An unexpected phone call distracted you from your plan.

How much information do you have sitting on your bookshelf at this very moment that, if translated into planned, focused action would create an entirely new (improved) life for yourself?

What is the 'real' reason you have chosen not to act on it?

Sometimes it's fear of the unknown. Sometimes it's lack of confidence. Sometimes it's just plain easier to continue doing what is comfortable and familiar.

You may have as much knowledge and ability as the next person, yet what she is doing differently that has her where you want to be, is putting that knowledge to use.

You can translate the knowledge that surrounds you into the lifestyle you desire by taking action.

If procrastination and lack of focus are a problem, partner with a professional coach or join a mastermind group to support and multiply your efforts.

Success is accelerated when your efforts are leveraged through the power of other minds. Going it alone is the slow, hard and lonely way. Opportunities are missed and actions although intended, often remain as that, never to materialize.

The information is at your fingertips and there are others who are willing to support and guide you through the process. Take that information, reach out for assistance, and commit to making "it" happen for you.

If something is getting in the way of you putting information to use, partner with a coach to explore the reasons behind the inactivity. Sometimes the answer can reveal itself rather quickly when seen through the lens of an objective partner.

Working at home is supposed to be the way forward, reducing fuel pollution and avoiding the traffic jams. We can sit in our home office, drinking lots of tea & listening to music while we work without interruptions.

With fuel prices rising daily, high speed internet & office real estate soaring, many companies decide to become leaner by allowing some staff to work from their office at home.

But does working from home work for everyone?

For many people, working from home is the ideal solution in creating a balance between work and life. The problems associated with working from home include:

- Lack of daily interaction with work colleagues
- Self discipline is required as there is no one to monitor your work
- Finding time to have a shower!

I have a friend who works with a large firm of lawyers. I met him for lunch and he gave me some interesting insights. "Initially everything went smoothly" he said. But as time passed he noticed that other people were being promoted within the company and he wasn’t even on the list for consideration

He complained about being given all the "rubbish jobs" whilst his colleagues got the better cases. He was invited to fewer meetings and didn’t get as many memos about the company as he used to.

Although he was able to network with his colleagues by email and phone, he felt that it wasn’t the same as when he used to meet them every day.

His relationships with the key people in charge the company declined, as his more visible colleagues made inroads with the managers.

He has now decided to move back into the firm's city centre office.

If you decide to start working from home, then do a trial run first. Keep notes, analyze the problems that you faced and analyse the solutions. Working at home can work for some lucky people, but is not necessarily right for everyone!

To build a successful business you must have a high tolerance for risk, the strength of mind to carry on after each failure and the ability to face fear and move through it.

High self-esteem gives you the ability to continue reaching for your goal even when everyone else says it can't be done.

High self-esteem humbles you and allows you to accept guidance and assistance from others.

High self-esteem allows you to be the judge of your capabilities instead of allowing others to decide for you.

High self-esteem is created by a deep inner knowing that if you have a passion and a dream to make something real, the Universe delivered that dream to you because it knows you are capable of bringing it to life.

You know you will never be given anything you can't handle and that everything you need to succeed is at your disposal. It's up to you to make yourself aware of what you need and look at the world through confident eyes so you can see it.

11. Financial Plan – A summary of what your business expectations are with included growth information. Project your profit and loss for the first two years. Put this in a spreadsheet format and include a chart as well.

Writing a business plan is not very hard. If you do the research to find a hot target market and products which appeals to you, then you will have most of the information you need. A small business plan is a building block for the formation of a solid business. It allows you see where you are currently and follow a plan for success down the road. In a nutshell it is your business goals and direction for the future.

How to Achieve Your Goal of Running A Home-Based Business

Many people have a goal of breaking free from their job to run a successful home business, but many fail to achieve their goal.

Why is this so?

Some blame it on laziness, fear, procrastination, or lack of skills, knowledge or support.

Some say its because the person isn't smart enough.

Academic smarts and IQ have very little to do with business success. How many people do you know who aren't considered the brightest or best, yet they are making more money than most doctors, lawyers and professionals?

Many of history's (and today's) biggest successes in both life and business are high school dropouts, had troubled childhoods and weren't expected to amount to much in life.

Laziness, fear, procrastination and a host of other reasons do contribute to failure, yet they are byproducts of underlying beliefs that perpetuate negative conditions.

The biggest contributor to your success as a home-based business owner is your mind. Your beliefs about who you are, what you're capable of, what you deserve and what is possible.

Short-term goals are often achieved because you use your conscious mind to fuel your actions. For example, if you want to lose 20 pounds and make it your mission, you can achieve this goal in a fairly short period of time because you committed your time and energy to making it happen.

But, after a year or even less, you may find yourself right back to where you were and this is because you didn't change your long-term programming to keep the weight off.

Your habitual way of functioning in the world is controlled by your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind drives between four and ten percent of your actions while your subconscious mind guides between ninety to ninety-six percent of your actions.

Knowing these facts helps you understand why so often after a certain result is achieved, it is rarely maintained.

In order to create long-term results, you need to change the programming in your mind.

You operate more than 90 percent on autopilot and need to change the flight manual so your automatic actions consistently move you towards your goal and beyond.

Repetition is the key to reprogramming.

When you were a baby, you had to focus your attention on keeping your balance while trying to stand and supported yourself with furniture and walls as you learned to walk.

Today, you can jump out of bed and run for the phone without having to think about how to steady yourself or worry about falling.

Through repetition walking became automatic. Your subconscious stored the information and now runs the program automatically so you can focus on other things.

The same goes for talking, feeding and dressing yourself, forming sentences, writing and reading. These activities don't require intense concentration on your part because you spent so much time practicing them they became automatic.

As you build your home-based business, you need to become a different person. You need to develop a mindset that runs on autopilot with the following programming:

- you deserve to live a life of passion and purpose
- you deserve to be wealthy, happy and healthy
- you are one hundred percent responsible for the results in your life
- you have what it takes to succeed
- you are powerful, creative and resourceful
- everything that has happened in your life has made you strong
- people love to do business with you

You also need to program specific actions to run on autopilot. For example:

- getting sufficient sleep, waking at the same time each day and going to bed at the same time each night
- eating a breakfast high in fiber and protein instead of a donut or three cups of coffee
- following structures and processes around how you spend your time and the activities you perform
- hanging out with people who are where you want to be
- reading different books, watching different programs, talking about different subjects

These are just a few examples but hopefully they got your creative juices flowing.

The most important thing is consistency and repetition. Much of our programming dates back to our youth, so changes won't occur overnight. It actually takes a minimum of 25 consecutive days of specific thought and action for your mind to start forming new neuro pathways to reprogram your subconscious. This discovery was made in the U.S. space program while conditioning astronauts for travel.

New subconscious programming is the key to your long-term business success. Give this matter one hundred percent of your focus and commitment and you will set the foundation for a life of true happiness and prosperity.

Can You Really Make Money With No Website Of Your Own

When I first started looking into making money on the internet one of the most intimidating things to me was how would I build my own website. I think that is true for many people. Let's face it, learning HTML code is like learning a foreign language.

Even if you do master that you have to learn how to build your pages so they are search engine optimized. You also have to learn how to write copy that will help your site sell. After you have done all of that you are going to need visitors to your website if you want to sell anything. So that brings up the question can you make money with no website of your own.

The short answer is yes. Here's the best way to do that.

1. Join an affiliate program and get paid to sell their products. Make it be a product that you have an interest in. I would suggest even going so far as to buy the product yourself. Digital information products are great for this.

2. Use their marketing materials to advertise your affiliate website. You will get your own affiliate i.d. number that is embedded in each website. Whenever someone buys off of your affiliate website you make a commission.

3. Buy a domain name for your affiliate product and redirect it to your affiliate website. This will make the site look like it is yours and is more professional than your longer affiliate website address.

4. Get your own autoresponder account and write a short series of email messages about why you like this product. An autoresponder is nothing more that a way to send automated emails. When you write a short series of feature and benefit related messages include your name and your new domain name.

5. Promote your autoresponder address. By doing this you will be building a mailing list for future follow-up. Since most people have to hear about a product many times before they buy this gives you away to follow-up over and over.

6. Use article marketing to write articles about the topic your product is in. Submit your articles to article directories and at the end of each article write a short bio box about yourself and your product. In that bio box include your autoresponder address where they can get free information from.

7. Try other forms of advertising and marketing like classified ads, forum marketing, and even do so offline marketing like flyers and newspapers. Always put your autoresponder address in every promotion you do.

Your goal here is to build a mailing list and follow-up until they buy. You do not want to send your customers directly to your affiliate website because unless they buy on their first visit you will never have anyway to get back with them or to get them back to your affiliate web page again. Since each affiliate website is the same you have no way to differentiate yourself from all of the other affiliates selling the same thing as you.

This is the best way to make money with no website of your own. It will take a lot of work but it can be done. If you focus on promoting a great product you like by sending email messages in an autoresponder you will be better off in the long run than just using the affiliate website only.

Well, if you don't have a kid or two yet, you won't understand this. The undeniable truth is that few things change a person like having kids.

And, although some men may shirk their responsibilities a lot more easily and keep living a seemingly unchanged life (Something I prefer to call irresponsibility), it is very difficult for the average woman.

You can build a website around your experience, passion or hobby. The good thing about this is that you control your time and not the other way round. The internet is awake 24 hours daily. When your part of the world is sleeping, another part is just having it's lunch break.

You can build pages in the dead of the night. You can set up your autoresponder either by 12 noon or 12 midnight. All you have to do is set when you want your messages delivered. People will respond to your calls to action 24 hours a day.

You work whenever you can even if it is just for thirty minutes at a time. You can work when the kids are playing, when the baby is taking a nap, the options are quite numerous. If you must devote a day or two to some of your kids' matters, your business will not suffer.

Simply put: You have a business that keeps working whether you're sleeping, on vacation, attending a kid's open day, the list goes on. Going the website route gives you such flexibility that can only be dreamed of in other home businesses.

However, to make this work for you, you have to reorganize your home to accomodate your internet business. You have to use a suite of tools that will help you achieve much in less time. You need tools that take care of most of the time consuming work associated with a successful website. And, finally, you must make sure you follow a time-tested process.

I am a stay-at-home dad and I am currently teaching folks how to get 100,000 high quality visitors monthly within their first 12 months online. That translates to a lot of bucks. However, you can scale down your expectations to suit your personal situation: 5,000; 10,000 -- It's your call.

often like to know the 'face' of the organisation they are dealing with, so make an impression for your business by getting out to professional functions. Get on the speaking circuit and become an expert in your field and industry; then speak at conferences, workshops and business functions. If people respect your advice and see you 'giving it freely' to your peers at an event (even if you are getting paid), you stand in good stead for picking up some business from your new admirers.
The best piece of advice about business opportunities is to be actively looking for them. Opportunities very rarely fall in your lap, and being proactive allows you to be strategic and choosy about who you do business with, as well as when and how often.
